Rollin and Woodstock Townships are working together to eliminate the non-native, invasive weed species, including Eurasion Water Milfoil, Starry Stonewort and others from Devils and Round Lakes.
In January 2018, Rollin Township re-established the Special Assessment treatment districts for both lake for five more years. The Township Board appointed PLM Land and Lake Management Corporation to treat the lakes for the next two years. Rollin Township is working to reestablish its district in February, 2023
Woodstock Township reestablished their district in late 2022. They appointed Savin Lake Services to treat their portion of Devils Lake.
Residents will receive a letter in the spring outlining the treatment dates for the summer. In addition, signs will be posted around the lake on the days treatment occurs.
Posey Lake Weed Control
In 2017, a special assessment district was created to be able to treat invasive weeds in Posey Lake. This district was renewed in 2022.
